In kindergarten, students will be learning how to find a steady beat in music. They will also be learning about how music can differ. It can be high or low, fast or slow, or have many different sections. Students will also be playing a variety of different instruments and singing! We will spend a lot of time learning how to use our voices in music by singing, speaking, whispering, and shouting. Students in kindergarten will also begin learning how to read rhythms and melodies using musical notation. Check back often to see pictures of students in action here at J.T. Barber!
